Following the footsteps of Apple and Asus, MSI has introduced a tablet dubbed as MSI Wind Pad tablet PC. This iPad and Eee Pad competitor sports a 10-inch screen. MSI will offer this Wind Pad tablet PC in two different models - one running Google's Android OS and other running Windows 7. Both these Wind Pad tablet PC models are expected to be available by the end of this year.

The Wind Pad 100 is the Windows 7 version that has 1.66GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, 2GB RAM, and 32GB Solid State Drive. The Wind Pad 100 has customized and touch-friendly interface layer over Microsoft's Windows 7 OS. Besides that, Wind Pad 100 tablet has HDMI out for connecting it to larger HD display along with two USB 2.0 ports and built-in webcam.

The Wind Pad 110 has dual-core Nvidia Tegra 250 SoC with Google's Android OS running on it. This tablet would be more chic-looking and will have swappable back covers for changing the look.

MSI will price the Wind Pad Tablet 100 at $499 (Rs. 23,500 approx.) but hasn't announced the pricing of Wind Pad Tablet 110. Their release dates haven't been announced too. We anticipate the Wind Pad 110 to be priced lower than its Windows running counterpart.
