The company hasn't indicated when it intends launching the handset; during the first week of launch it will be available at the Mobile Store.

Beginning this week, Motorola said it has partnered with world-renowned sports car label Ferrari to launch a co-branded 3G-enabled handset named the "MOTORAZR 2 V9 Ferrari" in the Indian market.

The company hasn't indicated when it intends launching the handset though it will be made available exclusively at the Mobile Store during the first week of launch. Unlike other such branded handsets, this one won't fall under the 'limited edition' category.

Feature-wise, the "MOTORAZR 2 V9 Ferrari" will be 3G-enabled and will come with a unique racing interface (befitting brand Ferrari), 2 mega pixels camera, and expandable memory up to 2GB.

According to Lloyd Mathias, Motorola Senior Director, Sales and Distribution (India and South West Asia), they are confident they will get the right kind of audience for the handset in India -- what with the Formula One racing culture fast catching the fancy of Indian youth.

Rajiv Aggarwal, CEO and Director of The Mobile Store, said the handset will be initially made available in ten cities including Delhi and NCR , Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Pune, Kochin, and other cities.

This handset could be yours for Rs 21,840.
