The limited edition DataTraveler 101 is inspired by the Chinese Zodiac, and has a rat and Chinese characters, "Wu-Zi" that represent the year 2008.
With 2008 billed as the year of rat by the Chinese, Kingston Technology has introduced a limited edition DataTraveler 101 (a 2GB thumb drive), adorned with a Chinese painting of a Golden rat, taken as a symbol of brightness, value, and fortune.
The limited edition DataTraveler 101 is inspired by the Chinese Zodiac, and has a rat and Chinese characters, "Wu-Zi" that represent the year 2008.
In China, the year of rat signifies a year of hope, cleverness, and brightness. So, the DataTraveler 101 is colored with a Golden rat, supposed to wash away the tears and sorrows of the year that was, and bring good luck and peace in the year that is.
Aesthetics apart, the DataTraveler 101 can be ferried around in a pocket or attached to a key chain. It features bonus password protection software, and is fully compliant with high-speed USB 2.0 specifications for fast transfer of files and documents.
Like other Kingston products, the DataTraveler 101 Chinese New Year Limited Edition comes with a five-year warranty, and is available in limited supply only in the APAC region.
