Transcend has showcased some of their latest products and product updates at CeBit 08; our correspondent reports from the exhibition.

From CeBit 2008: Transcend has showcased some of their latest products and product upgrades.

First up, they've launched the successor to their T.Sonic 840 -- the T.Sonic 850. Among other things, the T.Sonic 850 does away with the 840's jog-dial navigation, and returns to using Transcend's five-way navigation key.

The screen meanwhile is the same: a 1.8-inches, 176 x 220 pixels TFT LCD type. The player is a tad lighter at 48 grams (though it's dimensionally similar to the 840). The 850 supports file formats including MP3, WMA, and WAV for audio; JPG and BMP for photos; and MTV format for videos. Other features of the T.Sonic 850 include: FM Radio, Voice recorder, and 7 EQ presets. It comes with a two-years warranty.

Next up, Transcend has introduced the T.photo 710 photo frame, featuring a 7-inches display and 1GB of storage. The T.photo 710 supports popular memory card formats so that snaps can be instantly viewed after clicking. One can even connect the frame to a PC, and transfer MP3 files to play background music while viewing slide-shows. And, the photo frame can be used as an alarm clock to wake up you from slumber.

Last up, Transcend has given their JetFlash range of pen-drives a boost with the JetFlash V60; a pen-drive about as small as an AA-sized battery having 32GB storage.

The package also includes the JetFlash elite software suite which has a couple of applications like Website autologin, PC-lock, Data Backup, etc.
