CeBit 08: Razer Unveils Salmosa Mouse
Techtree News Staff Email Print
Mar 6, 2008
More from CeBit 08! Razer has launched the "Salmosa" mouse, claimed to feature the fastest-tracking optical sensor in the world -- with a response time of not more than 1 micro second.

An entry-level mouse, Razer claims their "Salmosa" to be the fastest and lightest mouse in its category currently available to gamers. Typically, Razer is known for their hi-end gaming mice; this being a first for the company.

The "Salmosa" sports an ambidextrous design with dimensions like 115mm (l) x 63mm (w) x 37mm (h). It's features include: an 1800 dpi Razer Precision 3G infrared sensor and 1000Hz ultra-polling; on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment and always-on mode; ultra-large independently programmable buttons; four zero-acoustic Teflon feet; seven-feet lightweight non-tangle cord; plus 24 individual click positions of the scroll.

The "Salmosa" is tailored to meet gamers' needs of speed and precision, according to Razer. In the words of Razer Head, Robert "Razerguy" Krakoff, the "Salmosa" sets a precedent as being the lightest mouse in its class; it is perfect for gamers who require pure speed and agility.

The "Salmosa" will be priced at around $40 in the US and $30 in Europe. Meanwhile, for a sneak peek at the mouse, go to: http://speedofthelight.com/minisite/.
