CeBit 08: Buffalo Intros Link Theater

Buffalo has introduced an external USB 2.0 drive capable of writing Blu-ray discs at up to 6x speed.
At CeBit 08, Buffalo has introduced an external USB 2.0 drive that they say, can write Blu-ray discs at up to 6x speed and read HD-DVDs (though we wonder who'd want to read them).
The drive is capable of writing CDs and DVDs, thanks to the LG drive used by Buffalo.
Though nothing's been said, the rumor is that the price may be in the region of 500 ($750).
In addition to the new drive, Buffalo has introduced the Link Theater, an HDTV-capable thin client that gives video content to any display in HD-resolution using HDMI or component cables.
It has a Gigabit Ethernet port and two USB 2.0 ports that can be used to hook up devices to play video content from. It supports most video and audio formats, and features a USB update function that allows users to upload new firmware from a USB thumb drive. Alternatively, a built-in update feature in the device's menu can be used to update firmware.
The Link Theater is priced at around 160 [$240], and comes bundled with a remote control. A WiFi-enabled version of this is expected soon, and might be priced at about 50 [$75].
