Upon purchase of certain Canon consumables, customers will get scratch cards entitling them to assured gifts.
Canon India has announced a consumer promotion called "Print & Mint", under which consumers will get gifts on purchase of select original Canon products.
Upon purchase of certain Canon consumables, customers will get scratch cards entitling them to assured gifts, including digital cameras, digital camcorders, optical mice, and pen drives, among others.
Each scratch card will carry a unique code, which needs to be sent via SMS (CAN
The scheme is applicable to Canon consumables including: BCI-24BLK, PG 40, CL 41, PG 830, CL 831, EP 25, and EP 303. It is on till March next year across India.
The grand prize for the contest is a Canon home theater projector worth more than Rs 2 lacs.
About the offer, V P Sajeevan, assistant director (CSP) of Canon India, said that one of the company goals is to address the problem of purchase of fake cartridges so that customers are able to distinguish between originals and fakes.

Who even thinks of such offers? This reminds me of a saying...A lottery is a tax on people who are bad at math. If they want to sell their cartridges, they should make them affordable. Right now, printer ink is more costlier than Champagne drop for drop.

I do not like products with scratch cards, it is better if they give some discount in price. Canon also pays Tendulkar for ads, actually we pay the rich man. So I decided not to buy Canon printer. It is so stupid, a cricketer promoting printers.
