Sony Ericsson today announced a limited edition, Titanium Silver, James Bond branded C902 Cyber-shot phone to be launched in tandem with the release of the latest James Bond flick - Quantum of Solace - scheduled to be out in November 08.
In the past, the Company has been associated with the James Bond brand. In 2002, its T68i and P900 were used by characters in in
Die Another Day, while the K800 was seen in
Casino Royale in 2006. This time too, Sony Ericsson is cashing in on the popularity of the James Bond brand - the result is not just the C902 being seen on screen, but also a James Bond branded limited edition phone.
"We are excited to announce the continuation of our relationship with James Bond films and unveil James Bond's new phone for this year - the limited edition version of our C902 Cyber-shot phone. With the rich array of content, both on the phone and preloaded on a memory card bundled with the C902 Titanium silver limited edition, fans of the secret agent will only get more James Bond with Sony Ericsson." said Lennard Hoornik, Corporate Vice President and Global Head of Marketing, Sony Ericsson.
Feature-wise, it is the same as the normal C902 except for the new Titanium silver fascia, pre loaded games and media in the memory stick and phone memory. The exclusive content includes a custom welcome message, James Bond theme and the Quantum of Solace movie trailer, interviews and snippets of the stars, wallpapers, screen savers and a game called Top Agent.
The phone launch is expected to coincide with the release of the movie in Q4 and will be available for a limited period.
