The new device can be set up easily without any drivers, and allows users access data from any Windows or Mac PC on the network without consuming too much power. The EZ-500GB comes equipped with a high-speed processor and a fast 7200 RPM SATA (Serial ATA) hard drive. It features 'Memeo AutoBackup' and allows users securely store, track, and share data files including music, photos, and presentations plus manage/preserve them for later use.
According to Morikazu Sano, vice president (Global Sales and Marketing) of Buffalo, "Linkstation EZ is designed for people who don't want to mess with configuring a NAS. It is targeted at consumers who'd want to share a hard drive with multiple PCs and laptops on their home network without having to spend too much time on setting up."
The Linkstation EZ-500GB comes for around Rs 14,650 along with a three-years warranty.
