Brother Unveils 3-in-1 Laser Printer

The 'DCP-7010' printer-scanner-copier delivers high quality print output at up to 20 pages per minute, and has a high resolution of 2,400 x 600 dpi.
Japan-based Brother International has reportedly launched a three-in-one laser flatbed printer, copier, and color scanner, 'DCP-7010', which is designed with the small office in mind, the company says.
According to Brother, 'DCP-7010' is compact, frees up valuable space, delivers high quality print output at up to 20 pages per minute, and comes with a high resolution of 2,400 x 600 dpi for sharper and crisper text.
The built-in flatbed color scanner delivers up to 9,600 x 9,600 dpi interpolated resolution scanning quality. A dedicated scan key allows users to automatically initiate scanning, and quickly launch the appropriate PC application.
The built-in scanner can be used as a photocopier, and users can change the size of the original document, either by shrinking or enlarging it by about 25 to 400 percent.
With a memory of 16MB, the printer-scanner-copier is capable of printing up to a nine-page poster. And, it can be connected to a PC either with USB 2.0 or the parallel port.
The 'DCP-7010' is priced at Rs 9,990. The toner cartridge can be replaced without replacing the actual print mechanism, thus keeping costs down. The toner will produce about 2,500 prints that cost Rs 2,150, the company claims.
