In a recent list released by McAfee, Brad Pitt has managed to top the likes of Paris Hilton and Justin Timberlake to earn the title of the world's most dangerous cyberspace celebrity.
This is the second time that McAfee has released the list. Back in 2007, Paris Hilton had topped the list and is conspicuous by her absence this year. The list comprises of A listers whose name search could lead you websites that may infect your PC with unwanted stuff (i.e. malware). According to the report, netizens searching for "Brad Pitt wallpapers", "Brad Pitt downloads" and "Brad Pitt screensavers" have an 18% chance of having their PCs infected with online threats, such as spyware, spam, phishing, adware, viruses and other malware. The list also shows how fake sites lure users to them using the popularity of these celebrities.
McAfee used their Site Advisor technology to compile this list. Others included in the list for this year were:

5. Mariah Carey
6. Jessica Alba
7. Lindsay Lohan
8. Cameron Diaz
9. George Clooney, Rihanna
10. Angelina Jolie
Jeff Green Senior VP, McAfee's Product and Develpoment labs says, "Tapping into current events, pop culture or commonly browsed sites is an easy way to achieve this. And because of Americans' obsession with following celebrities' lifestyles, they are an obvious target. We have to take precautions in casually navigating the Web since many subtle sites may be rife with malware for consumers' computers."
