Any move by school authority as regards abuse of internet or any social site by school children should be cautious and by consultations with parents. One way action may lead to disturst and may distroy the atmosphere of trust and faith.

One has the express himself or herself freely without hinderance. He needs to step down. Not only is he a loser but also a racist. They dont make principals like Gamaliel anymore. He has more pics of himself in the school magazine. What a pompous Ass!!

This is not a crime, shouldn't be a big issue.

principal of bombay scottish needs to get some bad publicity i remember him saying some shit about all kids being his little angels and fairies and treating each one differently about him being nice to the ones whose parents pay money to the skool and vice versa having grudges agaisnt vertain students declining captaincy to worthy students and shit like that which is only a part of it but since he gets more money into the skool the trustees wudnt give a dam how hes doing it but hell yea students have the write to express themselves and voice their opinions coz otherwise no1 wud know the person that he is and in skool most wudnt say a work to him purely out of fear and hitting students is another topic of debate but i guess its present in most skools but discrimination isnt good then and hes as nosy about the students as one can be finding out whose dating whom blah blah

What if a person X who does not know the principal uses orkut or even goes to the extent of making a web site with objectionable photographs(mixed with porn and principal) and secretly smiles? The point is educating and making personal information hidden from public access.

Not sure what this is all about. The only logical link I can think of with cybercrime is that perhaps the principal is not accusing the students of commiting cybercrime but warning them to be cautious about posting too much personal information about themselves lest they become victims of cybercrime.

that principle is a real idiot, he is literally encroaching on our fundamental right of freedomw of expression, he should be sued. there is a difference between committing a cyber-crime & voicing ones opinion's.

The internet has finally given to those stuidents what the constitution has promised all these years-freedom of speech! No matter how juvenile the action ,the school authorities should ponder over what the children have said. They are too young to be otherwise motivated

I fail to see what the "crime" is in airing your grievances publicly (however crudely it might have been done). The only illegal thing in this whole affair seems to be that the kids are minors and are violating the orkut terms of service.
