After slight hush-hush, 2K Games has revealed its big multiplayer experience plans for BioShock 2 game. Take-Two Interactive Software's publishing label 2K Games had tied up with Digital Extremes Studios for development of BioShock 2's multiplayer mode. Digital Extremes have earlier worked on titles like Unreal Tournament and Dark Sector.

Players get to play the role of Plasmoid test subject for Sinclair Solutions which is based in Rapture, the underwater world. For survival in Rapture, players need to use all elements of BioShock toolset. And for getting access to new Plasmoids, Weapons and Tonics, players need to earn experience points.

By earning more experience points, players can expand and customize their playing styles. As the multiplayer game moves further, players get to put their foot in Rapture resident's shoes to know about Rapture's fall.

2K also promises fast-paced action at reworked iconic locations like Kashmir Restaurant and Mercury Sites. However, these are just few features of the multiplayer options, note that all details haven't been released entirely.

Of course, as 2K Games mentioned earlier, BioShock 2 won't have any co-op multiplayer.

BioShock is expected to arrive later this year for Microsoft Xbox 360 and PC platforms.
