Pune-based BioEnable has launched a Web-based GPS Tracking service called GPSintegrated. The service allows real-time tracking of vehicles, assets, people, and so on.
To be able to avail the service, users need to purchase a GPS tracking device, and a Web site account for reports and maps. The service includes activation and quarterly charges for GPRS SIM card, and Web- based account and Maps.
The indigenously developed GPSintegrated software is based on satellite imagery from Google Earth (http://earth.google.com), and maps from Google Maps (http://maps.google.com).
The GPS Tracking device receives GPS signals from GPS satellites, and calculates positioning on Earth. The position data is sent to the GPSintegrated.com server using GPRS connection made by an integrated GSM-GPRS modem using Idea cellular or Airtel SIM card. The process is repeated every minute. In case GPRS connectivity is temporarily not available, the device records position in memory, and sends it later when connectivity is established.
Every customer is provided with a Web-based login account to access the data on the GPSintegrated.com server. Using a single account, one or more vehicles can be tracked in real time.
Upon login, the dashboard page displays important vehicle information like status, maximum speed, motion hours, distance covered, stationary hours, etc. The user is then provided with a Live Tracking link for Google Earth or Google Maps.
The top 20 cities in the country are covered by Google Earth Satellite Imagery. Besides, a new feature within Google Earth called Google Community allows users see placemarks and names of various buildings, roads, and other places within cities.
Users are also provided with various reports such as Start-stop report; Day Begin-End report; Detailed activity report; Speed report; Fleet Summary report; etc.

An automatic indication is sent to the user as an instant alert message on his mobile/ email (also a telephonic call would be made on his/her land line/ mobile phone) indicating him/her about the danger in driving the car whenever it is proved that they are too intoxicated.

To check the speed limit. - The owner can customize the software to receive intimation on the mobile if the speed of the vehicle increases above certain limit. This will help the owner to monitor the speed of the vehicle remotely when the vehicle is in the hands of the driver.
To check the Petrol level - The owner can customize the software to receive intimation on his mobile when the petrol level falls below the minimum level set.
An automatic intimation can be sent to the vehicle by initiating a message from the owners mobile that gives a beep or just flashes the lights of the vehicle thus intimating the driver that the owner wants to contact him.
The driver can send an automatic intimation similarly to the owner just by some press buttons in the vehicle during emergencies. This could be predefined messages or standard messages. Similar set up can be done for the car owner to send messages to the secretary or home based on the requirement.
Remote vehicle ignition is possible if the vehicle ideal period is too long and at the same time remote vehicle de-ignition is also possible after using remote vehicle ignition.
When the vehicle is started unauthorized a message can be flashed to the owner.
When the vehicle needs to be stopped if unauthorized use detected.
The user can receive a message on his phone when the stereo or other accessories in the vehicle are stolen or removed.
Intimation on mobile during failure of brakes.
Intimation when the Tyre pressure goes below a certain level.
Intimation on the mobile when the vehicle meets with an accident, or when there is a heavy vibration impact on the vehicle.
