BenQ MID S6 Headed for Worldwide Release?

The Free Surf MID has a 4.8-inch widescreen VGA display.
Already available in select markets, BenQ s latest head-turner, S6
MID, is expected to be made available in more markets around the
world soon.
The Free Surf MID has a 4.8-inch widescreen VGA display and is
powered by an Intel Atom 800MHz processor and features 512MB of DDR2
RAM and a 2-gig SSD. Other features include HD audio codec, Bluetooth
2.0, microSD slot, and 1880 mAh battery.
There s Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, 3G (2100MHz) and GSM/GPRS/EDGE
(900/1800/1900MHz) handling the Internet department. S6 is also
banking on its 3-axial accelerometer, which helps to scroll the Web
pages horizontally or vertically with a tilt, display images in
portrait or landscape mode and quick shake to view all the currently
opened office files.
The availability and the pricing in different regions is not yet
known, but let s hope it makes our Christmas if not Diwali
worthwhile.
