Modbook -- The Mac Tablet is Back

Improved Macbook compatibility
Axiotron Modbook, the only Mac tablet available is back again with an update. This time, the Modbook comes with improved Macbook compatibility. With the redesigned Axiotron hardware controller board in place, the Modbook has quicker boot time and has smoother integration with the Mac OS X operating system. The updated version also comes with better battery management, full Bluetooth connectivity, and enhanced pen tablet performance because of the Mu-metal shield present inside the pen.
Axiotron's QuadCoat, a liquid metallic coating process, makes the Modbook lightweight and protects it from scratches. Other enhancements include a new bonding process applied to the display, which removes the gap between the LCD panel and the screen cover, and reconfiguration of the GPS antenna to obtain four-satellite fixing and to give accurate coordinate data to applications.
A Modbook will start selling at a price of $2,249. The rates for the Modservice start from $1,299, wherein the user can get his Macbook converted.
