Asus is now offering two of its PDAs -- P750 and P527 -- bundled with SatGuide maps and software.
Both handsets, featuring built-in GPS receivers, will now come preloaded with "One India" integrated maps covering over 30 cities in the country. Earlier if users wanted to utilize the GPS feature, they would have to shell out Rs 5,000, and buy the software themselves. Now with software and maps coming bundled with Asus PDAs, users can directly start using GPS, transforming the phone into a navigation device as and when needed.
The SatGuide "One India" integrated map is a maze of detailed maps of over 30 cities, including major metros -- Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata, and cities like Jaipur, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Kanpur, Nasik, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, etc. The maps also give details of national and state highways and points of interest. With SatGuide maps, users will now be able to enjoy turn-by-turn navigation along with voice instructions. SatGuide software can be installed onto pocket PCs, personal digital assistants (PDAs), O2 devices, Dopod devices, and other Windows-based mobile devices.
Meanwhile, Asus P750 that was launched earlier this year features a jog-dial or five-way navigation key, 3 mega pixels camera, 2.6-inches touch-screen display with 240 x 320 pixels resolution, and support for external memory microSD slot. At launch, it was priced at Rs 28,900. For more details, click
