Asus N10 to Reach India Soon

The high-end netbook promises to further blur the distinction between netbooks and notebooks.
Asus unveiled their Intel Atom-based high-end netbook N10 in the Korean market during their Asus World 2008, Seoul. Although a launch date has not been announced yet, the 10.2-inch netbook Asus N10 is expected to come to India soon. Korean consumers can own an N10 in September. Last week, the leaked N10 photos didn't carry any specifications about the netbook, but we have them all now.
The N10 will be a high-end big brother to Asus Eee PC, and will be targeted at the business class audience. Along with the built-in Altec Lansing speakers, the N10 will sprint 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor and Nvidia GeForce G9300M GS graphics chip with 256MB video memory. Besides that N10 netbook features Intel Mobile 945GE, Vista Business OS, 2GB DDR2 667MHz, 320GB 5400 RPM SATA HDD, WLAN(802.11 a/g/n), HDMI port, 1.3 megapixel webcam and a fingerprint scanner.
Power-packed with huge data storage, built-in Altec Lansing speakers and Nvidia's graphics power, the N10 high-end netbook package will directly challenge entry-level notebooks. Moreover, the N10's specs further blur the distinction between netbooks and notebooks.
Retailing, an Australian e-tailing portal, listed the Asus N10 for pre-order at a price of $1140 (Rs. 46,740 approx). While Asus hasn't yet announced the price tag, the speculated value touted online sounds way too high for a netbook. the price tag and specifications of the N10 will make it difficult for the average Indian to differentiate between Asus N10 and other mid-entry level notebooks in the market.
