Asus Introduces The DRW-1608P2

Asus has introduced the DRW-1608P2 that offers upgraded 8X DVD+/-R double layer media source technology.
Asus has introduced the Dual-Format DRW-1608P2 Internal DVD-Rewriter that offers upgraded 8X DVD+/-R double layer media source technology, 16X DVD+/- write as well as 2X DVD-RAM read supports.
The Asus DRW-1608P2 supports double layer technology that almost doubles the DVD+R storage capacity from 4.7 GB to 8.5 GB, providing up to four hours of DVD quality video archive ability.
The internal DVD-Rewriter offers both 16X DVD-Write and 16X DVD+Write, making it capable of reading from and writing on DVD-Writeable/Rewriteable and DVD+Writeable/Rewriteable formats.
By adopting dual-format features, the DRW-1608P2 creates DVDs that can be played and read by most DVD-ROM drives and DVD players. It also enables 2X DVD-RAM read, 6X DVD-Rewrite, 8X DVD+Rewrite, 16X DVD-ROM, 40X CD-Write, 32X CD-Rewrite and 40X CD-ROM providing flexible and high-speed operation.
The Asus DRW-1608P2 features several technologies such as FlextraLink that prevents buffer underrun problems and eliminates the creation of unusable discs. FlextraSpeed enhances accuracy and reliability when writing and rewriting across a broad range of certified media.
The DRW-1608P2 also features the Asus DDSS II technology, which minimizes the vibration caused by spindle motors, components and PC cases. Airflow Field Modification feature reduces noise and vibration when using a high-speed drive.
The drive can be mounted vertically or horizontally. It supports multiple formats such as DVD-ROM, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-Video, DVD-RAM, CD-R, CD-RW, CD-DA, CD-ROM Mode1, CD-ROM/XA Mode2, Photo CD, CD-I, CD-Extra, CD-Text, and is bundled with Nero and Ulead Software.

Thats right......y do we have to ask the price...pls tech tree ppl its always helps if we know the price...your reviews comes out good...but without the price factor its like giving the cake without the icing on it
