Asia Powercom, a leading provider of power solutions, has launched two revolutionary HOM UPS (uninterrupted power supply) models that are meant to be a back-up power supply intended to serve computers as well as lighting loads, simultaneously.
The HOM 550 and HOM 1100 are not just invertors or generators, but a combination of the two, as the HOM UPS gives a typical backup time with the standard battery pack at full load which is approximately three hours. The HOM UPS can support TVs, music systems, inkjet printers, and other lamps, simultaneously.
Tejas Seth, director, Asia Powercom, said, "Our objective is to effectively target SMBs, SOHOs, and homes with our product, as we firmly believe that customers will be able to realize the value addition of connecting PCs to the UPS, rather than just take the normal light loads."
The UPS 550 is rated for 550 VA/330W at 220 VAC, 50/60-Hz; and the HOM 1100 is rated for 1100 VA/660W at 220 VAC, 50/60-Hz and operates on a wide range of input voltages from 90 to 280V. Typically, the HOM 550 can connect a PC, fan, tube light, and a television, or else three fans and three lights; whereas the HOM 1100 can support a PC, three fans, four tube lights, and one television, or else six fans and seven tube lights.
If the input voltage goes out-of-range that is less than 90V or more than 280V, the utility power is isolated and the UPS supplies power to the load from the external batteries. The UPS can serve inductive loads like fluorescent lamps, ceiling and table fans; resistive loads like incandescent lamps; and switched mode power supply (SMPS) loads like televisions and computers. Other important features of the two models include auto-charging when they are in the off-mode.
Seth said, "When connected to a PC alone, the UPS 550 can sustain for seven hours, whereas UPS 1100 can sustain for fourteen hours. Both the models along with AMCO batteries are available in the market, in fact more than half a thousand pieces are already in the market. The battery requires a charging time of eight to ten hours, and comes with a warranty period of 18 months. The consumers have an option of buying the HOM UPS with or without the battery."
HOM 550 with the battery comes at a price of Rs 9,999 excluding tax, and without the battery it costs Rs 3,900. Similarly, HOM 1100 along with the battery will cost in the range of Rs 16,000 to Rs 17000, and without battery it will cost about Rs 5,995.
Asia Powercom offers a wide range of power solution products like Line Interactive range, Online UPS range, and Notebook surge protectors. IDC has named Asia Powercom as one of the top five brands in India.
