Suffering from pangs of guilt? -- confess at your friendly Web site, www.harlequinromancereport.com!
The newest interactive Web site that offers people an opportunity to let it out -- whatever be their guilty secret -- sans the fear of being found out...
And the brains behind the Web site are none other than one of the largest publishers of romantic fiction, Harlequin Enterprises.
A lot of normal people -- well --- could be carrying skeletons in their closet. What the new Web site does is to allow these people talk about them -- confess their sins or indiscretions anonymously.
Of course, there's no denying that while these people may succeed in exorcising their demons, readers may be headed for a whale-of-a-time reading some of the raciest stuff -- racier than the stuff of romantic fiction churned out by Harlequin.
Meanwhile, the effort cannot be called entirely new, with the Internet sporting a crop of confessional Web sites, including postsecret.blogspot.com and mysecret.tv to name a few.
But the people behind www.harlequinromancereport.com claim 'it's different' by virtue of the fact that it gravitates mainly towards matters of the heart. While some of the confessions may be downright shocking, others could be extremely romantic, helping to bring loved ones closer.
With 8 sections: 7 devoted to the 7 deadly sins, and 1 to all things that clandestinely defy categorization; the Web site is being promoted as 'all about real people and real feelings'.
Harlequin Enterprises also plans to invite people who've confessed to participate in an interactive survey to form the basis of their annual 'Romance Report' to be published January 2008.
