iPhone's OS 2.1 Has Gone to Developers

Rumors claim iPhone's new firmware has gone to developers.
It's not been too long since Apple released the iPhone OS 2.0 firmware for public, and now there's news about the company already releasing a beta version of the next iPhone OS 2.1 for developers.
Sources have reported about other features of the iPhone that are being forwarded to be worked upon by developers for their next versions are the Software Developers Kit (SDK) and the Global Positioning Service (GPS) services.
While the SDK currently cannot be used for submitting applications to the App Store, the GPS will see developments in the area of tracking. Reportedly, a couple of Core Location features, like tracking the direction a user is heading in, as well as the speed of motion, will be added in GPS.
Simultaneously, another report by Apple Insider suggests that there will be a "background push notification" service in the new 2.1 firmware as well.
Apple is famous for fixing bugs immediately after it launches its "ground-breaking" products. And by the looks of it, the next firmware for the most sought-after phone of the moment is going to be a smarter one.

yeah lets hope. So far there has been no mention of bug fixes, only added GPS functionality. Perhaps its because Apple doesn't like to make mention of things needing fixing, but maybe they are trying to please a different crowd. Either way, lets hope it comes out in the next week.
