Disappearing act of movies and other files on Apple TV is now being taken care of. Apple has published a Support Article for those users suffering from Apple TV content disappearing issues. The content on the Apple TV running firmware 3.0 wasn't wiped out but it just won't show up to the user in the interface.

Apple is pushing Apple TV owners to apply the new 3.0.1 update so that the re-synced content shows up in the interface. Users who are still on Apple TV 3.0 version may find their movies or TV shows disappearing despite of having re-synced them.

Disgruntled users had reported the problem at Apple Discussions Boards. Imagine the pain experienced on not finding several gigabytes of data synced to the Apple TV or any other device for that matter.

Thankfully, Apple rolled out software update and all the multimedia happiness on Apple TV will now be restore.
