Rumors are flying that Apple is not rejecting bad apps but those that could compete with their business and applications.
Apple's home deck is being replaced by the iPhone App Store on iTunes and the company is actually taking a choice as to which apps get virtual shelf space in that store, and which ones get featured, writes TechCrunch.
Rumors are that Apple is actually playing favorites. It's not rejecting bad apps but those that could compete with their business and applications. There are only about 700 apps in the App Store, while 1000 more are waiting to get in. The reason why SDK was released was to give third party developers the freedom to create apps for iPhone. So now why is this case of favoritism happening?
A comment on the original story suggests that the company should place nearly all of the submitted apps into the store and let the best rise to the top.
