Airtel Offers EMI Option for iPhone 3G

Just drop the price already!
After Vodafone, comes Bharti Airtel with an EMI option for buying the iPhone 3G. Airtel's EMI option is available to all VISA cardholders of ICICI bank, HDFC bank, SBI Cards and Citibank. Check details of the EMI option from both Airtel and Vodafone.
iPhone was launched in the country about two weeks back and is priced at Rs 31,000 for 8GB and Rs 36,100 for 16GB version.
Here's a hint for Airtel/Vodafone: An EMI scheme is nice; a price drop would be nicer.

Paying 36000 for a phone which lacks basic features like ?SMS forward? ?blue-tooth head phone? is too much. The actual price of iPhone should be below 15000. iPhone lacks basic features and advance features like 3G not yet supported in India, then what for I will Pay 36000 ? I will rather wait for Nokia N96, or buy a notebook.

Prepaid version of iPhone3G is gettin released this Sept16th in UK by O2. 8 gig version costs 27K in INR. Consider O2 is makin a profit of around 8K per phone, which means that Airtel or Vodafone is makin a profit of around 12 K per phone... which is against the statement by an Airtel Higher official who stated that "Its a no profit deal"... Is this not a daylight rob???

Its a rekoning time for all those super MBA holders,this reaction toward the gadget must be analysed by business schools.Brand is NOTHING but a MIRAGE created by business schools who brainwash graduates and make them mentally limp .VALUE FOR MONEY still rules the consumer hearts.Even a DUKANDAR knows this fact.

I think the interest of people in iPhone has reduced significantly now...and with N96, Omnia, X1, LG 8MP coming, who wants an iPhone..

EMI doesnt mean low price, its just a facility, think about those who purchase iphone on EMIs and then later the price drops. as such happened with at&t iphone buyers.

I think Airtel and Vodafone need to reduce the price by Rs 20000 then only this product will sell. For now it is a flop show. They think Indians are foolish and they will pay for such phone.
