Adobe Releases Photoshop Lightroom 2.1 RC

Bug fixes, stability improvements and greater camera support through this point update
Adobe has released Photoshop Lightroom 2.1 release candidate for Mac OS and Windows. This update fixes severe stability bugs in the 2.0 release. Support for the latest SLR camera models has also been added to this release.
Last week Camera Raw 4.6 and DNG Converter software were released and made available at Adobe Labs. Camera Raw plug-in offers faster access to the raw image output format used by many camera manufacturers. While the DNG converter software converts proprietary RAW file formats to Adobe's Digital Negative format, that is relatively open, for further editing. If your camera uses digital raw image formats, make sure your camera has the appropriate DNG Profile for an improved color rendering performance.
The Lightroom 2.1 update will support raw images from Nikon D90, D700 and Coolpix P6000 as well as Fuji Finepix IS Pro. Tom Hogarty, Lightroom Product Manager, mentioned in a blog post that Camera Raw 4.6 will have preliminary support for Canon Rebel XS, 50D, Olympus, SP-565 UZ, Sony A900 and Sigma DP1. Imaging technology is progressing in leaps and bounds. Being free by nature these software not only aid the photographers for getting the best quality image after clicking, but also help amateur photographers level up to a semi-pro level.
