Acrobat Connect Pro Coming Soon

Adobe has updated Acrobat Connect to Acrobat Connect Pro and the software is expected to be unveiled by end this month.

Adobe Systems have updated Acrobat Connect to Acrobat Connect Pro, according to a leading technology Web site. Acrobat Connect Pro comes with capabilities to handle Web conferencing as well as corporate training and academic courses. The software will be unveiled by the end of May.

Acrobat Connect Pro will enable users chat during online meetings, which could be recorded and archived with audio, video, and transcripts of chat being kept intact. The software also has unique white-boarding tools and the capability for groups of users to separate into virtual breakout rooms. It could also integrate third-party IM applications and work in any Flash-enabled Web browser. Further, Adobe AIR will help Flash presentations from Connect Pro to be played on the desktop away from the browser, and the file could also be viewed on a Flash-enabled mobile phone.

Meanwhile, Adobe Presenter is also getting an update that will add a tab of functions to Microsoft PowerPoint 2007, the company said. It will let users create presentations rich in audio, video, and animations, which could be integrated with Acrobat Connect Pro.
Adobe claims it has 72 percent of the 'e-learning' market share.
