Acer Unveils the Ferrari 1100 NB

The new Ferrari 1100 comes equipped with a Turion TL 60 processor, 2 GB DDR2 memory, and 12.1-inches screen.
Acer India has announced the launch of its new Ferrari 1100 Notebook (NB) in the country.
Following in the tradition of the Ferrari 1000 Series, the Ferrari 1100 is touted as a high-end, image-boosting mobile PC, meant to attract professional, SOHO and SMB users, as well as early adopters and fans of the Ferrari brand.
Based on AMD's 64-bit microprocessor technology, the new Ferrari 1100 comes equipped with a Turion TL 60 processor, 2 GB DDR2 memory, and 12.1-inches screen.
The latest Ferrari edition also features an integrated slot-load optical drive, offering mobile DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive functionality.
The new Ferrari includes a host of communication features for very high speed connections, and frontrunner VVoIP (Video and Voice over IP) technologies for high-quality face-to-face interactions anytime, anywhere, the company said.
Meanwhile, connectivity features include integrated wireless LAN, Bluetooth, Ethernet, and 56Kbps ITU V.92 modem fixed-line connections.
Other features include a multi-format five-in-one memory card reader, 3 USB 2.0 ports, a Firewire (1394 IEEE) port, and S-video (TV-output) port.
The notebook also bundles a bio-protection fingerprint reader for enhanced security. This sleek new Ferrari NB is priced at Rs 79,999.
Initially, the NB will be available only in Mumbai and Bangalore at all e-Zone stores. However, the company later plans to make it available at all 29 e-Zone stores across the country.

At least the Ferrari is being price 10k lesser than the previous edition. Perhaps a price point of 50k would have been better. I for one will buy a Dell xps 1330 when i have 50k extra in my pocket.
