Acer Opens New Service Centers

Acer India will soon set up four new "Acer Customer Service Centers" at Amritsar, Thirunelveli, Varanasi and Nasik.
Acer India has announced that it will soon set up four new "Acer Customer Service Centers" at Amritsar, Thirunelveli, Varanasi and Nasik, which will meet the growing demand for service centers in the country.
With this new initiative, the number of Acer service centers in the country will reach 50. These service centers are an important part of the company's plan for customer support. According to company sources, there is a need to expand their service base as the customers today are very demanding and would like to have service at their doorstep.
Sudipto Ghosh, general manager - customer support, Acer, said, "This step is taken to enhance the speed and easiness of our services. Acer is presently concentrating on increasing the level of service and reducing the cost, but the warranty responsibility is with Acer".
"If a customer faces any problem with desktops or servers, it will be attended at the doorstep by the Acer Service Providers (ASP) but if they have a problem with the notebooks, the customers will have to approach the service centers near by", Ghosh added.
According to reports, Acer, along with its partner "Siddhartha Enterprises", opened its 4th Mall in the Garden city today. The Mall is located at number 14 and 15, Sampige Main Road, Malleshwaram, Bangalore.
S Rajendran, general manager - consumer products, Acer India, said, "Siddhartha Enterprises has been our retail partner for the past 2 years. Malleshwaram is a potential residential area and the space between other dealers is good enough to give them the space for healthy competition".
"We are more than happy, that such recent ventures by us have been very successful and thus we look forward to this center doing equally well", Rajendran added.
Siddhartha Enterprises will showcase the entire range of Acer Desktops, Notebooks and consumer peripherals at this new mall, including the Aspire series of consumer PCs, Travel Mate notebook series and also the Acer Ferrari 3000 notebook.
Commenting on the occasion, W S Mukund, managing director, Acer India, said, "Our foray into retail has been to ensure that our customers have a comprehensive knowledge of our product range and also ensure convenient access to our products at competitive prices. This branch will further expand our presence and help us to reach out to our customers".

Having only 50 Service centres all over India is not sufficient because there are more than 500 Major Cities in India,This company should have service locations in all major cities to cater all areas of the country then only people will consider to buy the products of acer.

Sir, I have an Acer 4720 Z model. its battery backup is very less. On battery it runs max 1 hours. At the time of purchasing i was asked that battery backup will upto 2:30 hrs. and now today whrnever i open my laptop it automatically shut down after some time, so please provide me address of nearest Acer Service centre from Jalgaon in Maharastra as soon as possible.

I have been using the ACER notebook since the last 3 years. Suddenly, the screen has gone blank and shows nothing, although, it is evident that the processor is running. Can you tell me if there is a service center in Navi Mumbai, Vashi?

I have a Medion portable hard disk of 500GB. i accidentally dropped it last night and now it refuses to function. there seems to be an unusual whirring noise from the inside of the disk. it powers ON however the computer refuses to recognoze it, once connected. Since there are no Medion service ecntres in india, i was wondering if its advisable to hand the hard disk over to local computer shops to get it repired. If so,I live in PUNE, so i would appreciate it if someone could refer me service centres that can be trusted to do a good job.
