ASUS to Launch N10 and S101 in India this Quarter

Notebooks slightly thicker than the MacBook Air; at half the cost
Asustek Computer has launched its newest slim-gem in the form of the high-end EEE PC S101. The company has also officially launched its big brother to EEE PC, the N10.
Both, the S101 and N10 sport a 10.2-inch panel and are powered by Intel Atom processors.
The newest addition to the EEE PC family, the S101, is a wee bit thicker than the MacBook Air -- measuring almost 0.7-inch. The S101 will initially be available with a 16GB SDD bundled with Windows XP; its variants with a 32GB or 64GB SDD will be launched later, says the company.
Here are its specifications:
The N10 would be available in 2 models, the N10E and N10J (already available at some retail channels and online abroad). The N10E, runs on Windows XP with 1MB memory and 160GB HDD, while N10J comes bundled with Windows Vista, an NVIDIA 9300M GS discrete graphics card, 2GB RAM, and 250GB HDD.
The S101 will be available in Brown, Champagne, and Graphite colors, with a suggested retail price of US$615 (Rs. 29,258 approximately). The N10E will cost approximately Rs. 33,760, and N10J comes with a MSRP of about Rs. 42,605.
The S101 and the N10 are expected to be available in India this quarter, according to an ASUS India spokesperson.
