American Power Conversion, a power solutions manufacturer, has announced the launch of its 800 VA Power Inverter.
American Power Conversion (APC), power solutions manufacturer, has announced the launch of its 800 VA Power Inverter.
The inverter can power lights, fans, television, music systems, home theatre systems or other electronic equipment. It is currently available as an 800 VA model.
It has pure sine wave technology to help ensure zero humming of lights and to prevent overheating of fans in effect extending life of the equipment. The inverter claims complete safety with child/shock proof features. It comes with a 2-year comprehensive warranty covering the inverter and battery. It is liable to 6 free preventive maintenance check ups during the warranty period and the package includes a safety kit.
"Power cuts have come to be a part and parcel of our daily lives. In fact most of us today have to plan our day-to-day activities, both personal and professional taking into account the power cuts. The APC Power Inverter is our latest offering which will help provide our customers freedom from power cuts", said Pankaj Sharma, Country General Manager, APC (India).
According to APC, research shows that Delhi and Bangalore face the highest amount of power cuts. Therefore the company is launching the Power Inverter in these two cities to begin with and will be making it available across India in the near future.
The APC Power Inverter will cost Rs. 14, 630 and those with tubular batteries will cost Rs. 16, 478. The Inverters will be available through a wide distribution of Inverter dealers across the two cities.

Belapur, 02.01.'09. Dear Sir, My name is RAMAKRISHNAN & Iam a Senior Citizen residing at Belapur. I purchased an Microtek invertor alongwith an Exide Invared Tubular Battery ( Sl. No. 08814 ) from your dealer at Belapur (W), M/s. Kapoor Storage Battery on 2nd March '08, to be fitted in my new flat, located at Sector-20. The invoice / receipt of the dealer bears No. 1789 dated 2nd March '08. Within the warranty period, i.e. during Nov.'08 the battery started giving problems and it was not retaining the charge for use during power shut down / load shedding hours. I took the battery for servicing to M/s. Kapoor with my complaint. The dealer checked it repeatedly & observed that the battery is defective. Finally on 9th Dec.'08 the battery was surrendered by me to the dealer for replacement, along with the original invoice, warranty card etc. Nearly a month has passed but till date, I have not heard any positive development from the dealer or from your compmany, in spite of periodical follow up. I shall be much thankful to you, if you immediately take action on my above complaint and ensure that the replacement is provided to me without any further loss of time. Please dont buy this product. I had a bitter experience here in India. No after sales services and the local service centre people try to cheat you by trying to repair the PC Board and they "guarantee" for 1 month after charging 850 bucks. Breaks down again after 1 month. I thought that the name APC should mean a good product, paid more than the normal inverter price but I am regretting now. The product was installed in my house couple of years back, have been having problems with the same ever since. Is unable to charge the battery properly and the back up is very poor. The so called APC service centre number people give you multiple numbers and if you call them they are very unhelpful. They promise to help, send somebody over and charge you Rs 300/- and nothing happens after they collect the money and leave. Rotten after sales services. Buy at your own risk. I am suffering. Few solutions Q - What should be checked if there is no output coming from the UPS in both "UPS" and "Power On" Mode? A - AC mains socket & on / off switch should be checked. If the switch is "On" then AC mains fuse (Located at the rear of the UPS) should be checked. Q - My UPS turns on but in "back-up" mode, what could be the problem? A - Check AC Line-in and AC fuse. Check the input voltage - it should not be below 145V or higher than 275V. Q - Why is the UPS beeping continuously when in "back-up" mode? A - The battery may not be fully charged. Recharge the UPS battery for at least for 8 hours. Q - Why there is burning smell coming out from the UPS? A - The UPS may be over loaded. Load may be exceeding the specified limit. (i.e. 360W for a 600VA UPS). Reduce the extra load. -If after reducing the extra load burning smell is still coming then check the circuit inside. Q - My UPS is giving very low backup time. What could be the cause? A - Decrease Load. Recharge the UPS for a minimum of 8 hours. Q - Why does my computer system restart every time the A/C power goes off and comes on again? A - Please check ground /earth connection of the power supply. The voltage between the ground / earth and Neutral should be below 5 Volt AC.

APC has aunique identity in power sector,but it is not available in all product,like battery.U must do it n u'll get good responce becouse of ur name.go in all product in all range like reliance family.

Hi, i want to buy a ups of 1kva or higher, but not sure of which brand. APC is the preferred but it comes with only a 80Ah battery for the 1kva. Could u pls suggets somethin.. Regards John.

I have bought a APC 800VA last 2 weeks back.They delivered it in time.Installation I took 4 days to complete that is again a temporary installation only.He promised to come in another 2 days to compleate the remaining wairing but till now nobody came.If I call the shop his answer is he will come wait. When we purchase a Washing machine the person from company come and do all the job and go.But here they are sending an unskilled person who has no idication of APC and charging for everything. Who is responsible for this? My neighbor bought one Microtek where the person from microtek finished everything successfully which tempted me that I also would have bought Microtek.

The Inverter Installation would be done by APC, but proper electrical isoation for Fans & Lights to be done upfront by a qualified Technician. Please contact the dealer from whom you purchased. He should be able to do it

I bought APC 800VA inverter . Which got failed after one month of installation. The battery is replaced. But after providing the new battery the fan of inverter is running continously. Now I am confused that the fan is running because of humidity or battery is not getting charged fully. The fan get stopped automatically(old batter) when batter is fully charged. But in new one after 96hr of battery charging the fan is still running.Could you let me know that how i will know the battery is fully charged or not. Or else there is any problem with battery, inverter fan or system Regards Negi

If you want to buy a good conditoin inverter dont go for less money(cheap) inverters. Go for Xenon they are providing Package like(XENON INVERTER+XENON BATTERY+TROLLEY)WITHN WARRANTY if u have any problem then you can go for 1 place but others are like they are giving inverter and battery of different companies so problem will occurs so go for xenon sine wave Home UPS
