You know you can buy a Nvidia Geforce 4 Ti series card. Its not too bad at a price from Rs4000 to Rs7000. But even the MX 4 series will do.

HOW ABOUT A COMPARATIVE PERFORMANCE TEST BETWEEN AN AGP 8X BASED CARD N PCI EXPRESS BASED CARDS / SLOTS!!!!!

by vkaaza, Mumbai, on Jul 29, 2004 12:40 PM, Report abuse   Reply

Yes they are both different. You find PCI Express slots on most of the new 64 bit CPU capable motherboards from Tyan and Asus. All the new MAC G5s have this provision too.

PCI and PCI Express connectors are different right? That means it would need motherboards with PCI Express slots to plug in this graphics card. Currently which motherboard offers PCI Express slots?

ASROCK has introduced a mobo in the Indiam market recently with PCI Express slots, in addition to AGP 8X slot.
