Here's how the expert fixes your Vista-related issues
I don't believe it -- my Windows Vista doesn't show up SATA drives at all. They work fine in Windows XP; what's wrong?
The disappearance of SATA drives is not a VISTA-specific issue per se but a BIOS setting. This problem occurs if the computer uses an Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI) chipset; not if you've AHCI chipset that uses Parallel Advanced Technology Attachment (PATA) emulation mode. So if your BIOS allows that, your drives will immediately show up. Since you haven't mentioned your BIOS details, check your manual on how to do this.
any god damn day, but XP is no match to Vista's high security

I have 3 XP PCs and 2 Vista Notebooks. in my office, linked by wireless network. All 5 machines can access well to one another. Recently, I bought another HP Vista Notebook. But this machine can't view the 3 XPs on the view map. The other 2 Vista also cannot access to this machine. How am I going to solve this problem? Should I download anything from Microsoft?
