The major factor differentiating Mozilla from IE is the fact that you can add extensions to Firefox. To add extensions to your browser is the best form of customization available for a browser and there are amazing Firefox extensions out there. Well, this is the first part of an article where we shall bring light to some of the best extensions available for Firefox 2.0.

There's a pretty long list of about 10 extensions in this part. Here's a brief description of each of them.

Fission

Fission combines address bar and progress bar making the progress bar more visible and allowing for a nice visual effect.

Note that some themes might break when you install Fission. If that happens to you, please contact your theme's author and ask him/her to adapt the theme for Fission. It is easier to load the link in your Firefox Browser because it will install it immediately.

You can download Fission from the following link.

StumbleUpon

StumbleUpon is a Firefox extension that lets you channel-surf the best-viewed sites on the web. It is a collaborative surfing tool for browsing, reviewing, and sharing great sites with like-minded people. This helps you find interesting Web pages you wouldn't think of searching for. Version 2.89 adds support for search links in Ask.com and Live.com/MSN.

I strongly recommend this extension as it is loads of fun and it helps you find amazing websites that you would have never found normally. All you have to do is create an account and then hit Stumble! For more information, you can also visit the website.

You can download StumbleUpon from the following link.

There are a hell lot of extensions available for Firefox. You guys have listed some good ones but some really good and important extensions are missing. Example: Adblock Plus, FireFTP, Foxmarks Bookmark Synchronizer, Foxytunes, IE Tab & Link Alert. I know all extensions can not be covered but these are really important ones.

Hello techtree staff. I am a regular visitor of your site. I have noticed that recently all of your desktop screenshots have a nice cool black theme. Would you please tell me the name of this theme and from where to get it? ThankYou.
