The Samsung S-SIMTM is making it possible to have memory on your phone even without having a memory card slot.

The Samsung S-SIMTM is making it possible to have memory on your phone even without the possibility of the phone having a memory card slot. The S-SIMTM is basically a SIM card, which doubles as a 1 GB storage card. That makes it no ordinary SIM card but will help making a standard phone with music player support and no card slot for an MP3 player.

The memory used will be the NAND flash memory with the traditional SIM; no changes to the size at all. This innovation will surely secure Samsung's title as the pioneers in new technologies. The cards aren't in production as yet and are being showcased at the Carte's 2006 show in Paris.

Zubair, this section, as the name suggests, talks about products that are likely to come into the market in the 'future'. Obviously, you can not expect future prices today.

Dear Aatif, if it is basically a SIM Card then it must be used with all phones brands as a usual SIM Card.

WHOA ....bt wts the flexibiltiy of these cards?? will they only work in new samsung phones?? coz if they work on any fone thats gonna change everything
