Electronic brain mimics human stunts

Researchers at the artificial intelligence lab at Stanford University have created software that learns from the experts. The software is used to power the flight of remote-controlled helicopters -- except that the choppers are not remote-controlled by a human; rather powered by software that has learnt its tricks digesting data extracted from flights controlled by humans. The data from human pilots is extracted using accelerometers, magnetometers, and gyroscopes, and is then used by the software to fly the helicopters in varying wind and weather conditions.
