This is definitely the most awesome breakthrough in medical science. The researchers at UC Davis have developed a contact lens that can detect and keep track of glaucoma. The material used is polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and consists of a pattern of silver wires which can measure the pressure inside the eye. That's not all, they also have a special function in which they can automatically dispense medication into you eye. Testing hasn't begun yet but soon they will be in maybe a couple of years we can go to a chemist and pick these up.
