Here's an update for the U series of ultra-portable notebooks.
After the glorious victory of their Eee PC, Asus has come up with an update for its U series of ultra-portable notebooks. Christened as the U2, it consists of an 11.1 inch, WXGA (1366x768) LED backlight display packed in a slender shell. It's powered by an Intel Core Duo Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) U7500 processor integrated into an Intel GM965 chipset.
Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g or a/g/n support is built-in and you can choose between a 1.8 inch PATA or a 32GB SSD hard drive. Up to 4GB of RAM can be installed to keep its Windows Vista OS happy.
Ports include 3 USB, 1 VGA, 1 LAN, 1 Phone, and 1 micro-DV. The U2 weighs a mere 1.25kg with the SSD and 1.28 kg with a standard HDD.
