    Free Download Manager (FDM) is a powerful, easy-to-use and of course, free download accelerator and manager. It's an open-source application distributed under GPL license. Here are some of its features: - It accelerates download speeds by splitting files into sections and then downloading them simultaneously. As a result, download speed increases up to 600%. FDM can also resume broken downloads so you need not start downloading from the beginning after casual interruption. - It supports HTTP/FTP/BitTorrent - It can download videos from sites such as YouTube, Google Video, etc. The video can then be saved in native .flv format, or converted to one of more popular video formats. - A built-in Upload Manager lets you upload your files easily to share them with other people. Upload manager can be easily integrated with your system (Windows Explorer, Internet Explorer, Outlook Express). - With this you can create new downloads or view the list of active and completed downloads remotely, via the internet.
